Friday, October 03, 2008 ~ Tribute and stuff Sad to hear that Mr JBJ has passed away. Wonder what will happen to the reform party now that he's gone? I was quite looking forward to seeing him in action in the next general election but as always, we can never tell the future. I had the pleasure of meeting him once in person, he had this conviction and fire; you could see it in his eyes and yet I felt this distant sadness in him. Sad at perhaps the lack of interest of Singaporeans around him, apthetic in their views and walking past him like some unwanted person? Regardless of how anyone feels about his political stand; if there's one thing that we can learn from him, it is to stand up for what u believe in and never give up! This was a guy who could have thrown in the towel but didnt! he worked hard to clear his debt so he could stand for the elections! Now this is something we don't see or hear very often.Condolences to Mr JBJ's family and may you rest in peace.
